Lys (pronounced “leees”): of Danish origin, meaning light — a symbol of clarity, warmth, and the quiet magic that shapes space.

Founded in 2025 by architectural graduate Alicia Champion, LYS Studio was born from a fascination with modernism and a love of the Australian landscape. With five years of industry experience and dual degrees in Architecture, Alicia brings a sharp design rigour shaped by a scholarship in Berlin, where she immersed herself in the principles of European modernism. Back home, those lessons meet the weathered textures, colours, and spirit of Australia, forming a design language she calls Austral Modern. At LYS Studio, architecture is crafted to be timeless, grounded, and deeply connected to place.
